Week of 9/24-9/28

We started Chinese Lesson 8 last week. If you would like to review the stroke order with you child, you can click on the Stroke Order tab in this class blog.  All of the Chinese characters are listed.  You just need to click on the link next to the character, and it will take you to the character.  Then click on this button:



Then click on this button.



Your children can follow the animation showing them the correct stroke order.
If you want to hear the sound for the Chinese character, click on the icon next to the Pinyin.  It looks like these 2 buttons:

 

The dot means there is more than one pronunciation for the character.  This depends on where the Chinese character is used.

 

I posted the math vocabulary cards in the Skydrive homework folder for 9-21-12.  If you would like to study them with your child.  This does not need to be turned in with homework.

 

We will be talking about the moon phases this week because the Chinese Moon Festival is on September 30th.  We will also have other activities pertaining to the Chinese Moon Festival.
